If you fancy something a bit different try Double Cross (Noughts & Crosses) by Malorie Blackman, which takes a more realistic approach to the dystopian society genre. Another great dystopian Sci-fi book is Glow by Amy Kathleen Ryan, which has the added advantage of being set in space. If you haven't read the first book in this series, then that is a good place to start. Thank you to the people at Harper Collins for a copy of this astounding book. My favourite aspect of this book was watching Samm grow more human watching him learn to accept his emotions and express them was actually quite touching. Then, of course, there is the return of the lovely Samm, the Partial whom Kira captured in the first book. It see the returns of some old favourites - Marcus is still on Long Island, wondering if Kira is ok, helping the government look for a cure and trying to stay out of a war. It picks up the story a little after where Partials finished - Kira has left Long Island to search for answers. I didn't have much hope for this book - the middle book in a series tends to be filler, and as Partials was so brilliant, I though it was going to be hard to top. But others are looking for a cure too, and they are prepared to start a war to find it. To save both, Kira needs to find out who she is. The Partials are coming close to their expiry date, and the cure lies within them.
